KHS boys golf team 10th at GV

The Kilgore High School boys golf team finished 10th at a tournament last week hosted by Lindale High School and played at Garden Valley Golf Club.

Lindale won the tournament, shooting a 317. Hallsville came in second with a 327, and Henderson third with a 332. Kilgore shot a collective 373, tied with Bullard for 10th.

For KHS, Todd Lockman finished with the best score, an 89. Jacob Patterson shot a 90, Shane Haskins a 91, and Mikel Hampton a 103.

"There were tough conditions on the hardest course we have played this year," said coach Jimmy Williams.

The boys golf squad will be in Longview at Oak Forest on Friday and Saturday.
