Former SHS athlete Leo Cook passes

Former Sabine High School athlete Leo Cook, who had a cancer, passed away on Sunday - he was 17. The funeral for Leo will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church. Cook, who was a junior at Sabine High School, was a former athlete and a big University of Texas fan. He was quite popular with the Sabine High student body, and was immortalized on vehicles seen around the Liberty City and Kilgore area on Monday, with such messages as "RIP, Leo," and "We miss you, Leo" written on automobiles.
