SHAKIRIA WHEAT In the Gregg County Spelling Bee, Shakiria Wheat, fifth grader from Kilgore Intermediate School, placed second and will serve as the alternate should Tyler Simmons, Pine Tree Jr. High eighth grader, be unable to participate in the regional Spelling Bee in Dallas.
