THE GREGG COUNTY AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION Kilgore Unit BOARD of Directors will meet Monday, Feb. 27 at the Highland Park Baptist Church at noon. The program for the day will be given by Flo Francis, ETCOG Benefit Counselor. She will present an “Update On Medicare and Medicaid Benefits.” The public is invited to attend. Bring a sack lunch if you wish. The meeting will adjourn by 1 p.m.

LIBERTY CITY WATER SUPPLY CORP. will hold its annual membership meeting Monday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. in the corporation’s office at 193 PR 3508. Members will elect directors to expiring board terms. Two directors positions are currently open and members interested in running should contact the corporation office for a qualifications and consent form. Forms must be turned in no later than Jan. 27.

TUESDAY

THE RUSK COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CLUB will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Rusk County courthouse annex. The Honorable Seth Stein, Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace, will be the speaker. The public is invited.

HEARING LOSS ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT group meeting is Saturday, Mar. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Wesley McCabe United Methodist Church, 1115 S. Mobberly Ave. Guest speaker will be Dayle Speegle and realtime captioning of the program will be on screen for all to read. Snacks will be served.

THE AMERICAN RED CROSS will sponsor a blood drive at McCary's Chapel during their free Health Fair from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m on Saturday, Mar. 4. You must be 17 years or older, must have a picture ID, eat at least 3-4 hours before donating, and drink plenty of fluids before donating.
