Funeral Services for Ms. Jo Nelwyn Tims Voyles, 99, of Denton, formerly of Kilgore will be held Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore with Dr. Paul Stripling of Waco and Rev. Jay McCasland of Longview officiating. A private burial service for her family will follow at Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Voyles passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 at Denton Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
She was born in Kilgore June 12, 1937. She was raised in Kilgore, was a longtime resident of Longview before moving to Denton two years ago to be closer to her family. During her early years, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Kilgore and later was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Longview. Most recently, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Denton.
She was an accountant by trade working in the oil and building industries. She spent the last years of her career employed by Greggton United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Regan Voyles; parents, Cecil and Bernice Tims; and grandson Jon Wesley Holland.
She is survived by her daughter, Joni and Don Holland of Fort Worth; her son, Kyle and Paula Voyles of Denton; her grandsons, Tucker and Tyler Voyles of Denton; her great grandson, Parker Holland of Memphis, TN; and several cousins throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006.
