BURN BAN

Roger Hinkle stares at the burning remains of the home he shared with his father, last night in Cross Plains. Hinkle said he had lived in the 100-year-old home since he was two weeks old. Texas Gov. Rick Perry said dozens of fires, mostly in north and central parts of the state, prompted him to deploy firefighters and issue a disaster declaration.
