Local youth performs with Russian ballet in Shreveport

NOELLE GARRETT Noelle Garrett of Kilgore danced with the Moscow Ballet in a performance of “The Nutcracker” at the Strand Theater in Shreveport on Nov. 17. She danced in the role of a snowflake. Her scene included falling snow and dancing through a line of Russian ballerinas.

Noelle went to try-outs in late October. She practiced twice a week in Shreveport until the performance.

Noelle is a second grade student at Chandler Elementary School. She is in her third year of dance at Tap N’ Toe. Her audience included her parents, five grandparents, two great-grandmothers, an aunt and friends. Her proud parents are Joe and Beth Garrett of Kilgore.
