Christmas tree pickup planned for Kilgore

The city of Kilgore plans to help residents rid themselves of Christmas trees again this year.

City crews will pick up the trees if they are placed on the curb. Crews will be working from Dec. 27 through Jan 16, with the exception of weekends and Jan. 2 “The trees must be at the curb,” said Mike Green,” Kilgore’s director of community services. “We will pick them up as quickly as we can until the 16th.”

Residents may chose to take their trees to the city chipper themselves, located in the maintenance yard behind the police department.
