HENDERSON CHAPTER 597 O.E.S. will hold their monthly stated meeting Monday, Dec. 19 at the Clinton Masonic Lodge. Special Guest will be Joyce Gilbert. Grand Conductress, Grand Chapter of Texas. A covered dish dinner and Christmas treats will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting at 7:30 p.m. All O.E.S. members are envouraged to attend.

EXPLORE THE CHRISTIAN LIFE: The Alpha Course will meet each Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Kilgore First Church of the Nazarene, 309 E. Sabine. The Alpha class is a free study group for people initially exploring the Christian faith, those new to the faith, and those who feel they need a good “jump start” to their spiritual life. ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP will meet the first Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. in Laird Memorial Hospital Conference Room. The group is for caregivers and families caring for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease.

THE RUSK COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CLUB will not meet in November. The next meeting will be on Jan. 24, 2006.

THE KHS POP GROUP, STARSHINE, is looking for places to sing during Christmas. They are available from Dec. 1-14. THE NEW LONDON MUSEUM will now be opening the Tea Room on Saturdays, for salads & sandwiches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular hours for the museum are 9-4 Monday through Friday, Saturday 10-3, and the Tea Room is open Monday-Friday from 10-3.
