MRS. J.B. (NELL JONES) ROBERTS

Funeral services for Nell Roberts, 73, of Huntington will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005 in Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Dr. Darryl Smith and Rev. Andy Salagaj officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Memorial Park. She died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 in a local hospital.

She was born Aug. 10, 1932 in Cayuga to Simon E. and Edna

Brumley) Jones. She graduated as valedictorian in 1949 from Cayuga High School. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University, and was a member of the SFA Choir. She was the pianist for Laird Hill Church in Laird Hill, a teacher for the Beaumont ISD for 25 years. She had resided in Huntington for the past 15 years, was a member of Huntington First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dena Mae Jones.

Survivors include her husband, J. B. Roberts, Huntington; son, Rick and Judy Roberts, Hastings, MN; daughter, Paula Roberts,Huntington; son, Randy Roberts, Lufkin; 10 grandchildren; sister, Merle Baker; and brother, Richard D. Jones.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Brumbeloe, Jason Brumbeloe, Steven Roberts, Cameron Long and Morris Swan.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
