NET RMA to hear report and updates

The North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NET RMA) will meet Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 2:30 p.m. in the Smith County Commissioners Courtroom.

Committee members are expected to hear the East Texas Hourglass/Quantum Research report from Jay Stokes. Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) representatives are scheduled to present an update on Loop 49 and the East Texas Hourglass Project.

In other business, the NET RMA is expected to:

 Consider action necessary to establish fees and procedures for obtaining open records;

 Consider action on a financial plan for Loop 49 Smith County) and Hwy. 42/Richey Road (Gregg County)expansion project;

 Discuss logo development;

 Discuss various policies;

 Consider action on request for proposals for the annual audit;

 Hear an update on the Toll Equity Grant for Loop 49; and,

 Consider action necessary to authorize a resolution supporting FutureGen’s potential move to East Texas.
