Commissioners discuss ETRA

East Texas Regional Airport will be the major topic of discussion at Monday’s Gregg County Commissioners meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom on the third floor of the courthouse.

Commissioners are expected to consider authorizing the county’s purchasing agent, in conjunction with KSA Engineering, Inc., to seek bids for necessary site preparation at the Gregg County Industrial Park.

They are also expected to award the bid for Phase 2 of the general aviation apron improvement project.

In other business, the commissioners are expected to:

 Consider allowing the Liberty City Water Corporation to place a one-inch road-crossing in a two-inch casing under the right-of-way on Ann Street in Pct. 3;

 Acknowledge receipt a check from Scott and White Prescription Services in the amount of $2,617;

 Consider a resolution adopting a new voting system for the county;

 Consider approval of the Official Bond and Oath of Tod (cq) Dickerson:

 Consider a funding agreement for 2006 between the county and Longview Partnership; and,

 Consider a request to assist the city of Lakeport in installing two culverts at both entrances at 411 Jones Road.
