ROBERT GREEN Services for Robert “Bob” Green, 83, of Kilgore will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec.10, 2005 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Besser and Rev. Ralph Rudy officiating. A Masonic graveside service will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mr. Green died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 in Longview. He was born July 22, 1922 in Grand Saline. He served his country for nine years in the Army, was a Sergeant First Class and worked in General MacArthur’s staff. The Greens moved to Kilgore in 1951. He worked as police officer for the City of Kilgore, Kilgore College and the Gregg County Sheriff’s office. He also managed the Crim Theater and worked for the Kilgore Independent School District. He was a 50-year member of Danville Masonic Lodge #101 where he was a past Master, past District Education Officer, and received the Golden Trowel Award. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eloise Green, Kilgore; a daughter, Linda and Bill Ridder, Paris; a grandson, Wesley Hawthorne, San Francisco, CA.; several nieces and nephews.
