KHS grad will present paper at W. Michigan

Jeffrey Leppert, who graduated from Kilgore High School in 1999, will present a project at the 37th conference on senior engineering design projects at Western Michigan University on Nov. 29.

Leppert is the son of Debby and John Leppert of Kilgore. Leppert plans to receive a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering technology in Dec.

Other projects being presented are a sensor-based telerobotic arm, a plan for transforming care at the bedside, a mechanical wheelchair lift for a sport utility vehicle and a facility for a neuro-science center. The conference, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will be held at the Parkview campus and is open to the public, free of charge and is sponsored by WMU’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
