ADELL JACKSON

Funeral services for Adell Jackson, 74, of Dallas and formerly of Kilgore, will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005 at Victory Funeral Services Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kelton Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services. Mr. Jackson departed this life under hospice care Nov. 4, 2005 at his residence in Dallas.

He was born May 16, 1931in Overton to Edgar and Willie Mae Pierce Jackson. He attended Kilgore public schools and graduated from C.B. Dansby High School where he was a member of the football team, attended college for a short time before entering the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1960.

The bulk of his adult life was spent with employment at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas where he worked as a painter.

Preceding him in death are his parents and two brothers, James Curtis Sanders and Edgar Jackson, Jr.

He is survived by two brothers, Fonzell “Woot” and Mary Jackson of Kilgore, Lee and Evon Jackson of Tyler; two sisters, Betty Reddic of Kilgore, Eva Lois Iles of Dallas, TX; two uncles; two aunts; a special friend; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 at Victory Funeral Services.
