new london museum shows collections from the past

Mary Kate Knox (right) and Becky Tyner are in the process of putting together a display of irons and aprons for the New London Museum. Knox is the owner of the iron collection and Tyner is the owner of the apron collection. The display will be at the museum from Aug. 13 through Sept. 17 and admission is free to the public. Irons and aprons date back to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Knox has over 240 irons in her collection which include miniatures, toys and special purpose irons. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
