Mr. and Mrs. Hal Pilgrim of Longview announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ashli Aaron Smith, to Mathew Edward Joseph of Kilgore. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred McMim, and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Smith of Mount Pleasant. She is a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, and attended Texas Christian University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She is currently employed at the Trinity School of Texas in Longview. The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Joseph of Kilgore. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Joseph of Pine Bluff, AR., and Mr. and Mrs. Donald 0. Sullivan of San Antonio. He is a graduate of the Trinity School of Texas, and currently attends Texas State Technical College in Marshall, pursuing a career as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician. The couple plan to marry Saturday Oct. 1, 2005 at the home of the bride-elect's parents in Longview.
