Chelsea Lierin Mowery of Longview and Corey Glenn Bailey of Kilgore were united in marriage June 11, 2005 in The Colonnade Room with Riley Pippen officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John and Suzane Thompson of Longview. Sue Hendricks of Longview is the bride’s grandmother.
The groom is the son of Glenn Bailey, and Lisa Bailey, both of Kilgore. His grandmother is Doris Smith of Marshall.
The room was decorated with assorted pink flowers and candelabras. Special music for the ceremony was “Only God Could Love You More” played as the parents and grandparents walked in, “I Will Be Here” during the lighting of the unity candle and “When God Made You” as the couple were at the altar. E-beth Chappell was the organist with Jayson Horn and Christy McNabb as vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, who raised her, John Thompson. She was attired in custom designed, white satin, strapless gown. The featured a fitted bodice and a full skirt with three tucks down the left leg with a broach at each tuck.
The bride followed tradition and wore her great-grandmother’s ring, her headpiece, shoes, dress were all new, she borrowed the earrings and she wore a blue cameo on her garter.
Jennifer Mills of Longview served as maid of honor and Emilee Bailey of Kilgore was junior maid of honor. Micha Stevens and Tyler Boaze, both of Kilgore were the bridesmaids, Madison Hunt of White Oak was flowergirl.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore black dresses and the flowergirl’s dress was a custom-designed, satin dress with tooling at the bottom.
Best man was Chance Bailey, Kilgore and Skylar Whatley of Longview served as ringbearer. Dustin Cox and Daniel McKinney, both of Kilgore acted as groomsmen. Ushers were Cordell Mowery of Longview and Alan Bumgardner of Kilgore. The groomsmen wore pink ties.
The ceremony was followed by a reception in The Colonnade Room. The bride’s cake was a four-tier Italian cream cake with the initials CBC in pink on the second tier. Each tier had a different shades of pink roses all around every other tier. The cake at under a chandelier with pink toile coming down from each corner to create an illusion around the cake.
The groom’s cake was a three-tier chocolate cake with each tier having a different design with an edible bow flowing down all four sides of the cake.
The guests were also served salad, garlic chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, assorted fruits, cheeses, crackers, dips and cake.
The bride and her father danced to “You Raised Me Up” by Josh Groban and the bride and groom took the floor to “It’s Your Love” by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple now reside in Longview.
