Linkinhoker state finalist in NAM Pageant

Marina Linkinhoker,12, was a state finalist in the National American Miss Pageant July 29-31 at Hotel Intercontinental in Dallas. One hundred eighty one 10 - 12 year old girls competed to win Miss North Texas Pre Teen with prizes of $ 1,000 cash award, crown and banner, bouquet of roses and air transportation to complete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California. The pageant is based on inner beauty, poise and presentation and seeks to recognize the accomplishments of each girl and encourage her to set goals for the future.

Marina, a Maude Laird Middle School student, enjoys tap, jazz, ballet, gymnastics, and swimming. She is the daughter of Julie and Tony Maxwell of Kilgore and Don Badger of Gladewater. Marina came home with a crown, banner, and three trophies for participation and ad sales thanks to her numerous, wonderful sponsors and family.
