-New Hostelery of 50 rooms complete throughout-

The Hotel Heard, Kilgore’s new 50 room hotel, opened its doors to the public this morning. This new modern hostelery is located on Longview Highway one block from the depot. This new institution has 50 rooms, hot and cold water, baths, fans, and telephones. A modern coffee shop, drug store and barber shop will be opened on August 15th.

CC Booklet gives information about Kilgore

Due to the fact that hundreds of letters are recieved at the local chamber of commerce offices each month making inquiries concerning Kilgore, the Chamber of Commerce has prepared a booklet that points out some of the many advantages of Kilgore.

The booklet is profusely illustrated with photographs of various points of interest in Kilgore. Among them are the old Buck Kilgore home, a panorama of the oilfield, a scene on Commerce street, the school, and several of the new buildings that have been erected recently.
