News herald photo by LESTERMURRAY Kilgore Night Out last night brought neighborhoods together, but that was not out of the ordinary for the residents of the Chateau Apartments (west). Geraldine Cox who has been a resident of the apartments since they were built 34 years ago and the former owner of the Streamliner restaurant in Kilgore said “it’s a wonderful place to live.” Lynne Cross, a resident for eight years, said they have frequent social functions at the pool area. Tenants were treated to music by Bellows and Strings from Longview. Richard McDaniel on the banjo, Bill Rollert, violin, John Stash played the accordion and Wayne Crosswhite electric guitar. Lots of food and drink were available and the Champion E.M.S. made a guest appearance at the night out.
