RUBY MARIE BROOME

Ruby Marie Broome, 81, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to her heavenly home with our Lord Thursday, July 7, 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 9, 2005 at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Kilgore, with Reverend Roger Hoffpowier officiating. Visitation is scheduled 6-8 pm Friday, July 8, 2005 at Radar Funeral Home, Kilgore.

Ruby Marie Broome was born in Cushing, Texas on December 27, 1923 to William Robert McKnight and Francis Cornelia McKnight. She was the youngest of eleven children. She was married to Elton Ray Broome who passed away in 1990. Mrs. Broome assisted her husband in their family butane business for many years.

Mrs. Broome, “Nanny Ruby,” will be remembered for her loving, kind-hearted spirit and sweet smile. Her life was devoted to her family ensuring their hearts were full of love and happiness.

Survivors include 5 daughters and 2 son-in-laws, Ann Broome Dorney, Kilgore, Sharon Baker, Kilgore, Vikki Modisette, Longview, Brenda Maxwell and husband Bill, Kilgore, and Debbie Abercrombie and husband Tom, Dallas. Grandchildren include Denise C. Faulkner, Kilgore, Rona Russell, Plano, KayDee Kesterson, Rowlett, Amber Abell, Austin, Amy Maxwell, Austin, Billie Ann Maxwell, Austin, Rhett Modisette, Longview, Kenneth W. Jordan III, Midlothian, and Randon Modisette, Nacogdoches.

Great grandchildren Ashton and Zane Faulkner, Kilgore and Kennedy Kesterson, Rowlett.
