Kilgore resident Mel Fasang, who suffers from lymphoma cancer, presented the city of Kilgore with a wooden truck he made. The truck, named Lymphoma and Leukemia: A Truck of Hope, will be placed in city hall as a reminder that cancer can be cured and every donation will help toward finding that cure. Fasang is known for making the wooden vehicles and donating them to help raise awareness for cancer research. Major Joe T. Parker accepted the gift on behalf of the city.
