time the bids will be publicly

opened and read aloud in the

City Council Chambers of Kilgore

City Hall.

The Project consists of:

Reconstruction of Chandler

Street from Leach Street to

600 feet north of Couch Avenue.

Reconstruction shall

include reconstructing water

and sewer utilities out from

under street pavement, removal

of existing street pavement

and appurtenances, installing

storm drainage inlets and

storm sewer, stabilization of

existing subgrade and base,

and construction of approximately

7,800 SY of reinforced

concrete street pavement and

related appurtenances.

Bids will be received for a single

prime Contract. Bids shall

be on a lump sum and unit

price basis, with additive alternate

bid items as indicated

in the Bid Form.

by Bid security made payable

to Owner in an amount of 5

percent of Bidder’s maximum

Bid price (determined by adding

the base bid and all alternates)

and in the form of a

certified check, bank money

order, or a Bid bond.

Successful Bidder will be required

to furnish Performance

and Payment Bonds and proof

of insurance, complying with

the General Conditions of the


Owner reserves the right to

reject any or all Bids, including

without limitation, nonconforming,

nonresponsive, unbalanced,

or conditional Bids.

Bids will remain subject to

acceptance for 60 days after
