FLOYD GILLCOAT

Graveside Services for Floyd Gillcoat, 96, a resident of Kilgore since 1943, were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Kilgore Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Charles Snow and Rev. Gary Tebbe officiating. Mr. Gillcoat passed away Sunday, July 24, 2005, in a Longview hospital after a brief illness.

He is survived by two daughters; two sons; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three nieces.

Pallbearers will be Kappy Kolb, Austin Kolb, Bryant Kolb, Rush Gillcoat, G.W. Boyd, Gary Boyd, Bill Deshazer and Spencer McAdams.

Honorary pallbearer was Ralph Poage.

ANNIE LOU

MONTGOMERY

Funeral services for Annie Lou Montgomery, 92, of Henderson, were 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at Fairfield Baptist Church in Henderwson with Revs. Johnny Montgomery, Kenneth Johnson, D.C. Madkins, and O.C. Parker officiating. Burial followed in Strong Cemetery in Henderson under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mrs. Montgomery died Friday, July 22, 2005.

She is survived by son; daughter; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four nieces; three nephews; many cousins and friends.

GARVIS "COTTON" MCKINNEY

Services for Cotton McKinney, 75, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2005 at Forest Rome Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Duggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cometery. Mr. McKinney died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at his home.

He was born Sept. 27, 1929 in Sasakwa, OK. His parents moved their family to East Texas in the early 1930's. He attended Pine Tree Grade School, was a 1946 graduate of Sabine High School and a .950 graduate of Kilgore College. He married Louise Beets July 22, 1950, He worked for ARCO 34 years where he was a gang pusher, before his retirement in June 1985. He loved his church; he was a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Royal Ambassador Leader and did any general worked that needed to be done at Forest Home Baptist Church. Baseball was his passion. He either coached or watched Kilgore Boys Baseball most of his life,

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise McKinney of Kilgore; three sons, Doug and Denise McKinney of Overton, Scott and Christy McKinney of Overton, Kevin and Robin McKinney of White Oak; one daughter, Monell and Larry Burns of Liberty City; two sisters, Wynona Gossage of Kilgore, Banona Watson of Kilgore; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Wednesday evening between 6 and 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest Home Church, Building Fund, Post Office Box 1340, Kilgore, Texas 75663.

Pallbearers will be Charley Hawkins, Rick Murphy, Erskine Watson, Billy Humphrey, James Robinson and Sonny Hanks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Forest Home Baptist Church.

DAISY KING WHEELER

Visitation for Daisy King Wheeler, 99 of Kilgore, will be at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore on July 29, 2005 from 11 to 12 with graveside services to follow at 2 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Mrs. Wheeler passed away July 26, 2005 in Garland.

Mrs. Wheeler was born Aug. 15, 1905 in Jefferson to James T. and Minnie Erambert King. She was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker, a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Kilgore.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ralph A. Wheeler; two sisters, Winnie Liverrnan and Frances Liverman of Jefferson.

Mrs. Wheeler Is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Sandra Wheeler of Garland; two granddaughters, Jodie Hall and Rachel Wheeler.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Kilgore.

RICKEY STEIN

Funeral services for Rickey Stein 52, of Houston, formerly of Mt. Enterprise, are pending with Southern Funeral Home of Henderson. Mr. Stein died Monday, July 25, 2005.

A.W. DUKE

Funeral services for A.W. Duke, 89, of Kilgore, are pending with Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore. Mr. Duke died Thursday, July 28, 2005 in Longview.
