Chamber opens 2012 push

This year’s annual Chamber of Commerce banquet was styled with a nautical theme to emphasize the new campaign, “Catch the Wave.”

Kilgore Chamber of Commerce President Mike Coston welcomed and introduced the guests and dignitaries in the crowd. City Manager Scott Sellers led the banquet in prayer.

Members of the Samuel Paul Dinkins Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met recently at Meadowbrook Country Club.

Regent Evelyn Banda called the meeting to order and led members in the DAR ritual. Caroll Bolton led members in pledges to both the flags of the United States and Texas. Joan Smith led members in the National Creed.

XI PI MU held their February meeting along with a Sweetheart Dinner Monday evening, February 6th, at the Meadowbrook Country Club. The hostesses for the evening were Alice Lowery, Debbie McCubbin and Darlene Bingham.

COTERIE CLUB

The Coterie Club met Jan. 26 at Meadowbrook Country Club with hostess Janie Edmonds. Pam DeCeault and Christi Langley served as co-hostesses.

The club was decorated with tulips in a variety of colors, and tulips in crystal bowls and pink napkins accented the tables where refreshments of cinnamon buns, muffins, sandwiches and fruit were served.
